A strategic step to strengthen the IoT initiative

Square-box offers secure communication solutions for IoT and critical applications such as charging poles, emergency telephones, operating alarms, measurement and more. Solutions have been delivered to widely diverse environments such as real estate, ships, airports, switchgear and ports. From January 20, Square-box communication AB is acquired by Spirius, which means that Spirius will take over Square-box’s customer base and delivery commitments.

– Spirius has 28 years of experience in the operator industry and has the knowledge and support systems required to provide our customers with first-class service. The merger will lead to improvements in the form of “more muscle” to solve customer needs. I am convinced that our customers will see great benefits with Spirius as a new owner, says Johan Spencer, CEO of Square-box.

– The advantages for former Square-box customers are that they have access to a wider range of products and services that Spirius provides. This is a big step for us and feels very exciting, says Jonas Rexeke, CEO of Spirius.

Johan Spencer and his colleague Henri Rannanjärvi will continue to work as consultants with their existing customer relationships.

– We continue as before, but with greater possibilities. Spirius knows this industry and knows what requirements are being set. It feels really good, says Johan Spencer.

For Square-box customers, existing services will be delivered as before. Nothing changes except the sender on the invoice.
