Spirius has set up two new SMSCs (SMS Centers) to offer redundancy for SMS replies sent to virtual numbers. The work has been done in close cooperation with Telia Carrier and City Network. Spirius has since 2012 offered two geo-redundant sites for mobile-terminated SMS. With the new SMSCs now in place we can also provide geo redundancy for SMS from mobile phones to Spirius Swedish virtual number series.

In addition, the capacity for mobile terminated SMS have been increased.

– Several customers have noted that the server load shown in our customer portal has decreased compared with last year, says Martin Kristell, CTO at Spirius. This reflects the increased capacity. 100% corresponds to the traffic that can be handled in real-time without buffering.
