Washing robots communicate via Spirius
Cleaning pig barns is a tiring job – if done manually. Therefore, Envirologic AB has developed a washing robot that does the job. The data communication goes via Spirius IoT subscription.
Envirologic has over 20 years of experience in developing automated washing solutions that are available in several European countries as well as North America, Asia and Australia. In Sweden, 44 percent of pig producers use the company’s washing robots.
– Our robot EVO Cleaner is a good investment from many aspects. It is extremely wearing and monotonous to wash pig barns by hand and also associated with health risks because you are exposed to large amounts of organic dust, says Johan Bolin, product and development manager and continues:
– The robot allows the pig producer to free up manpower for other things and become more efficient, it provides healthier staff and reduced costs.
The washing robots are connected via Spirius IoT SIM-cards with global roaming. The technology is mainly used for notifications that are sent when the robot has finished washing, but it also alerts in the event of downtime. Via the SIM cards, Envirologic also gets access to the robots’ operating statistics and can perform updates or troubleshooting.
– We were recommended to contact Spirius and their IoT solutions suited us well. The collaboration has been going on since 2018 and we always have a good dialogue, Johan Bolin concludes.
