Giddir is a Swedish digital platform in the HealthTech sector that works with communication and collection of data between healthcare providers, laboratories, radiology clinics and patients. Spirius is a mobile operator with its own infrastructure for SMS (SMSC) and a provider of IoT solutions via smart SIM cards. With Giddir focusing on security and integrity, SMS is used both to verify users’ phone numbers and as a secure communication channel for important notifications.
Giddir’s system simplifies the process of referral management and creates a more accessible and efficient healthcare experience.

– Our solution is often integrated directly into customers’ systems, ensuring a seamless and efficient transfer of healthcare data. Whether it’s health checks ordered online or referrals sent from digital healthcare providers, our API makes it possible to generate and forward these to the relevant laboratory for analysis, says Erik Ekblom, CTO at Giddir, adding that the majority of referrals come from health checks, especially in preventive care, which has become increasingly common among private healthcare providers.

– We see great potential for this type of service, not least in the insurance industry – a market we are still exploring. We are currently established in Sweden and Norway, but see great potential in more European countries.

– We are proud to deliver our services to Giddir, which puts security and integrity at the center throughout its entire process, says Jonas Rexeke, CEO at Spirius. SMS is used both to verify users’ phone numbers and as a secure communication channel for important notifications. For example, SMS notifications are used to notify patients when new test results or response reports are available to view in the service.

– We use Spirius to ensure that these messages are sent correctly and the collaboration has worked very well. The delivery has been largely flawless since the start two years ago, says Erik Ekblom, who concludes by revealing what the name Giddir stands for: Get it done, do it right!
